The Baker

Movie- Reviewed by P.S. Bass

A disillusioned hit man decides to leave the assassin business and hides out as a baker in a small town filled with eccentric characters and a fish and chips shop called, “Cod Almighty”. A bored teenage wannabe assassin becomes the baker’s assistant and orders for chocolate cake take on a new meaning. Let’s just say there’s more than one way to make dough. One of the funniest movies I have ever seen.

Editorial note from the Bubster: Great review of a great film. This movie, (with which I may have been slightly obsessed for a month or two earlier this year), introduced me to the vocals of Yma Sumac. Sumac was famous 50 years ago for her 5 octave range.
