Princess Bubba.......sheee's back.

On March 31, 2010 I wrote...."This drinks recipe represents my last post on 'Food for Thought'. Spring seems like the perfect time to start something new. The recipes will remain available to anyone who wants to access them. The blog has been a great short-term hobby that has reflected my fondness for both food and writing, (and things that I ate as a kid apparently). It is probably best if I move on to something like exercizing and improving my mind at this point. Plus my hand-model Dave and his girlfriend want me to teach them how to cook this summer, so that will take some time and thought. When I asked what they specifically needed to learn, Dave indicated that they want to know how to cook appetizers, entrees and desserts; specifically, everything I guess."

Despite what I wrote in that post, over 2 years ago now, I’ve decided to start blogging (tentatively) again. The decision has been influenced by multiple factors.
  • Exercise has not been quite the panacea I thought it might be. Frankly, it hurts me.
  • My former hand model Dave is moving to the Big Smoke to become a doctor, so there will be no more cooking lessons for Dave and his girlfriend.
  • A number of friends have asked me to revisit the food blog over the past 2 years. One of the more persistent in this regard, in fact the primary nagger, has recently left K-town to begin her career, also in the Big Smoke. She is what I would call a true food lover and incidentally provided some of the inspiration for the chick-lit novella I wrote last year. In particular, it was her completely random statement relating to green onions (being the key to everything) that initiated that never-to-be-published manuscript. Truth be told, I miss her and her futile attempts to keep me up to speed with social media.

So, I'm back. I may try to be somewhat more judicious in my blogging this time and post less frequently than daily.

I think I'll start tomorrow with my sister's shockingly pink strawberry cake. It was a dazzler.

I'm extremely pleased that you've returned. I would like to put in a formal request for idiot-proof low-carb recipes. :) Welcome back indeed!
